Unique Stamp

Interiors are a way for people to express themselves giving their homes each a completely unique stamp, a way to show their personality. Everyone is an artist and when given a blank canvas we can't help but explore ways in which we can share with people what we as individuals like because despite our desire to be distinctively unique we still adore to be part of something, hence therefore trends and collectives that we draw upon when furnishing our own homes.

This past week we have been told to find some designer makers and companies that have enlightened and inspired us, this made me think about a contemporary bar we have back home in Darlington called 'Hash' that has very neutral walls and furnishings, keeping it very subtly decorated with grey-blue shadowed trees and birds that are just transformed because of the dimmed lights, It's minimalist style is still very warm and inviting despite having a cool colour scheme and the simplicity of the shapes takes nothing away from its sophisticated edge. Although I don't know this particular designer I found it was a very common motif that has captivated many other contemporary bars and restaurants.

This contemporary muted style is also famous among well known design company Cole and Son, the wood and the birch tree wallpapers has been around since 1959 keeping within a grey scale giving it an  almost 'timeless' modern twist and even though more detailed than those I saw in 'Hash'.
