Interior Designers

This bright fuchsia baroque styles design is loud and regent combining the classical elegance with such a vibrant colour shouts for attention. I found this whilst looking on the designers guild website and was instantly captivated by it and think it would make a beautiful feature in a room as a hint of decadence to one block colour perhaps maybe as cushions on a black chair or in a cream room. It reminds me of a chair from the Bowes Museum that we visited a few weeks ago except the fuchsia colour gives it a revival from the era-descant red that is so commonly seen.

I adore the detail and thought put into the designs in Anthropologie, the Flights of Fancy wallpaper has so much texture and detail into each bird, they could all have been individually framed and sold.  You could hang black frames over some of the birds so they were actually framed and have it a feature wall.

The bedding design called 'Creature Hideaway' also from Anthropologie intrigued me because although it wasn't as detailed as the wallpaper, it captured something different by having a burst of brushed coloured shapes of the animals and foliage it made a fitting title for the bedspread but also allows an essence of how fast the glimpse of these animals are and the mixture of brights and greys give it a truly inspirational style and desired appearance.

Whilst browsing through Timney Fowler's webpage, I came across a design called 'Dante' which captured many objects that now take residence at museums and although the company is famous for black and white etched designs, this one is washed with the past in design and colour scheme, it's antique gold and pastel colour illustrates a reminiscent glimpse of a world before. It brought me back to the Bowes Museum and looking at the frames and handles of the antiques there.

Thornback and Peel, is a design maker that uses hand printed illustrations that are so beautifully rendered and detailed that owning a little something printed by them would definitely breed an unhealthy amount of envy from your friends. This tea towel with rabbits and cabbages reminds me of dictionary art and you'd probably not want to cook rabbit ever again.

Also I adore these Christmas crackers but don't think I could bare parting with the beautiful design but has definitely made me realise that it's not long till the festive season and I still need to make some Christmas cards for the Christmas fayre I'm doing in November.
